How can I get a copy of my police or traffic report?
You may do so by coming to the Delano Police Department and make such a request. In most instances, there will be a small fee for this report. Traffic accident reports take about 7 business days to complete.

Can I send the Chief of Police a compliment about an officer for the services I recieved?
The Chief of Police is happy to accept compliments regarding the high quality of services that the staff of this Department provides. You can mail your compliments to the Police Department, or stop by and give them to a Police Commander, Sergeant, or if the Chief is available, directly to him.

What if I feel that I did not like the level of service I recieved, can I comment on such service?
Absolutely! We strive to provide the best quality service. If we did not meet your expectations, please let us know immediately.

Does the Police Department have a complaint policy?
Yes. By law, each California law enforcement agency is required to have such a policy. You can obtain a copy of this policy by making your request in writing, in person, or via e-mail.

Can I volunteer for the Police Department?
The Delano Police Department enjoys working with volunteers. Currently, we have volunteer Chaplain's, and volunteers working in animal control as well as crime prevention. Contact us if you would like to help.
