The City Manager is selected and hired by the City Council. He/she reports to the Council and is responsible for implementing policies and any ordinances adopted by the City Council.

The City Manager provides leadership in the overall management of the City to ensure that staff is responsive to Council policy direction and the public needs. He/she is responsible for the management and administration of seven (7) departments.
