Eleventh Avenue Multi-Purpose Community Center

The Community Survey conducted as part of the 2011-2016 Consolidated Plan update identified youth activities and youth centers as two of the top five needs, in response to the need for community facilities, particularly those targeted to youth, the City is using CDBG, Section 108 Loan, and Measure I/U Funds for the construction of the Eleventh Avenue Center. The 14,824 SF facility includes gym space, basketball courts, a warming kitchen, a stage, a storage area, and parking.

Jefferson Center

The City of Delano lost its main Senior Center Facility to a fire back in May of 2013, this replacement 6,650 SF facility will include the same components as the original building; a general meeting area, an office space, a warming kitchen, a conference room and storage area. The City is funding the re-construction for this facility from the Insurance loss claim and Measure I/U.
